How Is Your Husband's Heart

Written by Sheryl Shaffer

Proverbs 31:11 "The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil."

Is your husband's heart safe with you? Can he trust you with his thoughts and feelings?

Are you a wife who talks about your husband to friends and family? If you ever hope to know your husband's deepest thoughts and burdens, then you must be a helpmeet he can trust.

Too many women break the "one flesh" unity by talking about their husband's private thoughts, inadequacies' or mistakes, casually. A man whose heart is not safe with his wife, will never tell her what he intends to do or how he feels about the issues of life.

Our husbands' are prone to imperfections… just as we are. The last thing we would want our husband to do is to exploit our latest blunder, stupidity or thought to the men at the work place. Yet, how many times have women casually shared the "secrets" of their husband, home and family with other females.

Yes, there are funny happenings of life that can be shared, but they should never be degrading of that man in your life. If you make him look stupid or inadequate…just remember---he chose you! Our job in life is to make our man look good. Believe in him. Help him in love. Protect his manhood. It is much more fragile than it might seem at first glance. Women like to be treated like fine china, but I'm here to tell you that your husband would like to be treated in the same way.

Love and respect for the each other will treat a spouse like a priceless treasure.

Ladies, I want to encourage you to work hard to make sure that your husband's heart is safe with you. If there is something you want to "tell someone else about"…. Go to your Heavenly Father. He is the One who can really help you anyway. When He corrects things…He does a permanent job and brings glory to Himself!

There is no greater love than to put another-first!

Our God ordained role in this life is to care for our husband. Always be thinking of his present and future health, physically and emotionally. The only position on this earth where we will find real fulfillment as a woman is as a helpmeet to our husband. God created us to be that way. It is HIS divine appointment…for our lives.

Is your husband's heart safe in your hands?
