Five Keys for a Happy Home
Key 1: Give God the first hour of each day.
Mark 1:35 “And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.”
Take the time to pray in the morning. He is waiting to hear from you….
Key 2: Give God the first day of the week.
I Corinthians 16:2 “Upon the first day of the week let everyone of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.”
Serve God in your church for the salvation of your community. Do not save your life and time for yourself. Give God His day and protect its sanctity with your life.
Key 3: Give God the first portion of your income.
Proverbs 3:9 “Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the first fruits of all thine increase:”
God blesses you with the 90%....be generous and give Him His 10%. Be blessed and give Him even more out of your abundance. You cannot out-give God!
Key 4: Give God the first consideration in every decision.
Matthew 6:33 “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”
This will include your choice of a house, the friends you choose, where you will work, the church you will attend, the school you put your children in. All these choices draw you closer to the Lord and a spiritual mind….or they draw you away ….just one choice at a time. Fight the urge to make choices rooted in fleshly reasoning or emotional whims.
Key 5: Give God’s Son first place in your heart…everyday….always.
II Corinthians 8:5 “And this they did, not as we hoped, but first gave their own selves to the Lord, and unto us by the will of God.”
Create a happy home by making Christ first place in everything! He already sees and hears everything anyway. Knowingly, live each day in His presence!
These five keys will unlock the blessings of the Lord for your family and the salvation of the souls of your children. Is it worth it?
